Kawada Mami with Jormungand OP

A very unexpected news.

Kawada Mami is put in charge of singing the OP theme for the anime Jormungand, to air sometime in April 2012. Jormungand is an action/adventure manga by Keitaro Takahashi adapted into an anime by staff from known anime series like School Days, Steins;Gate, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and Highschool of the Dead.

The OP single will be released under Geneon Entertainment, this time. No other information about the song is available as of the moment.

Today's a special day!

Because today's the birthday of our dearest I've Queen, Kawada Mami! Woot woot~

I wish her all the best in her career... and lovelife, perhaps?
We shall wait for more awesome songs from her in the future~

Happy 1st Anniversary!

Time sure flies.

It's been a year since I've started this Kawada Mami fanblog! Starting and maintaining this blog sure was a fun choice, serving fellow fans and satiating my Mami fanboy-ism at the same time. I'm not sure how far this blog can go, but at this point, rest assured that Overdrive will be here for a lot more years, probably up until we all see the end of it all.

Mami on Denpa Kenkyuusha for Serment Single

A day after the release of Serment single, Kawada Mami appeared as a guest on Denpa Kenkyuusha, a Nico Nico Live Show. The show is hosted by May'n and Takeshi Washizaki covering anime, games and anison. 

It should be noted that Mami appeared before on the said show to promote her then See visionS single. This time was no different, as her guesting was to promote her latest single Serment.

And like before, the usual charades game using illustrations was played by May'n and Mami. You could really see the artist within Mami with those drawings of hers XD

Kawada Mami Live on Nico Nico Douga

As a sort of promotion or celebration for the release of Serment single, Kawada Mami held a live talk and performance on Nico Nico Douga. It's not just any live though, because it was an acoustic live! A first for Mami~

The acoustic version of triangle sounded really good and refreshing. It was great to see Mami perform and sing along with a light rearrangement of her originally rock-sounding songs. Now, how I wish she would hold a longer acoustic live someday.
