Serment Preview!

It came earlier than I expected.

Kawada Mami's official Warner Home Video site is now up and running! Yes, Mami's upcoming single Serment will indeed be released under WHV, the same label as KOTOKO and ALTIMA. A PV preview of Serment as well as a preview of ALTIMA's new single ONE as ED2 theme are both available for viewing at the said site. Audio previews for Serment and the coupling track u/n are now also available.

While KOTOKO used red for Light My Fire, Mami used GOLD with serment. Great color choice.

[Single Review] Light my fire by KOTOKO

Surprised to see a KOTOKO single review on a Mami Kawada fanblog? While KOTOKO may seem to be Mami's greatest competitor within I've Sound back in the days, and that it'll be awkward to blog about her here, this site's administrator decided to serve side dishes from time to time. 

Light my fire is KOTOKO's 17th single as an artist and her debut single under Warner Home Video. It was released on November 16, 2011 and was used as the first opening theme for Shakugan no Shana III (Final). Was her breakaway from IVE a good idea? And was her shift to a different recording label made her career any better?

It came by surprise.

Apparently, our dearest I've utahime Kawada Mami surprised the LisAni 2011 live audience with her unexpected performance of a new song, which turns out to be the second opening theme for Shakugan no Shana III (Final)!

The song title is Serment, a French word for oath or vow. The single will be released on February 1, 2012.

The official Twitter account of Shana Final and Mami herself confirmed this in their tweets.
