Serment Preview!

It came earlier than I expected.

Kawada Mami's official Warner Home Video site is now up and running! Yes, Mami's upcoming single Serment will indeed be released under WHV, the same label as KOTOKO and ALTIMA. A PV preview of Serment as well as a preview of ALTIMA's new single ONE as ED2 theme are both available for viewing at the said site. Audio previews for Serment and the coupling track u/n are now also available.

While KOTOKO used red for Light My Fire, Mami used GOLD with serment. Great color choice.

[Single Review] Light my fire by KOTOKO

Surprised to see a KOTOKO single review on a Mami Kawada fanblog? While KOTOKO may seem to be Mami's greatest competitor within I've Sound back in the days, and that it'll be awkward to blog about her here, this site's administrator decided to serve side dishes from time to time. 

Light my fire is KOTOKO's 17th single as an artist and her debut single under Warner Home Video. It was released on November 16, 2011 and was used as the first opening theme for Shakugan no Shana III (Final). Was her breakaway from IVE a good idea? And was her shift to a different recording label made her career any better?

It came by surprise.

Apparently, our dearest I've utahime Kawada Mami surprised the LisAni 2011 live audience with her unexpected performance of a new song, which turns out to be the second opening theme for Shakugan no Shana III (Final)!

The song title is Serment, a French word for oath or vow. The single will be released on February 1, 2012.

The official Twitter account of Shana Final and Mami herself confirmed this in their tweets.

New eroge tie-up for 2012

I've Sound was put in charge of the production of the theme song, insert song and ending theme of 130 cm's eroge Natsuiro Asagao Residence, to be released sometime in Spring 2012. Here are the credits:

It seems Kawada Mami has become the primary lyricist for I've utahimes with her participation on Rin Asami's Got it!!

The surprising news here though is the vocalist in charge of the theme song. A non-IVE vocalist for an IVE produced song. Well, it's not the first time but this might be a sign for I've Sound's future involvements with non-IVE artists. Not really against it but I hope it won't get to the point where IVE shuns aside their own vocalists.

m.a.l.l. LIVE 2nd Stage Goods

Mami Kawada m.a.l.l. LIVE 2nd Stage, to be held this Nov. 26 and 27, 2012, has its live goods as well. Here they are:

T-shirts will be sold for ¥3500 each, towels for ¥3000, and the watch for ¥7000. Expensive as usual, but I guess I've Sound badly needs funds right now.

The To Aru Majutsu no Index anime franchise confirmed this Sunday on its official website and Twitter account that a theatrical film adaptation has been green-lit. The announcement was made at today's Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival. Further details will be revealed in the November issue of Dengeki Bunko Magazine, on sale October 11.
